    • Lance

Lance, the resident store dog of Robin’s Bike & Fitness in Destin, passed on. He was an awesome dog and a donation was made in his memory to help other sweet dogs like him.

    • Riley Taylor

Riley Taylor was one of Founder, Nancy Bown’s original & beloved daycare dogs. We are grateful to his friends, who made a generous donation to Dog-Harmony in memory of Riley Taylor. His human family described Riley in this way:

“Riley Taylor was deeply loved by his parents (Jane and Chris) and his favorite littermate (brother Sam). He was a fun-loving dog, always ready for any adventure. He inherited his love of chasing squirrels (catch and release only!!) from his fur-mother, and his love of snuggling from his fur-dad. His other loves included playing with Sam, making his parents laugh, walking in his neighborhood, hiking, camping, volunteering with Covenant Hospice as a therapy dog, giving kisses, getting treats for high-fives, and helping Nancy wrangle puppies at K9-5 Day Care.

Riley didn’t let congestive heart failure slow him down until July 30, 2019, when at age 12 ½, he let his parents know his heart just wasn’t in it anymore, literally and figuratively. His parents are deeply grateful for the outstanding care he always received from Dr. Connor and Dr. Carr and the entire staff at Kindness Pet Hospital, and for their loving, compassionate support when it was time to say good-bye. He will always be in our hearts as we smile through our tears and think of him chasing heavenly squirrels and snuggling in the arms of the angels forever.”

    • Sam Kent

We are very sad to announce the passing of Sam Kent.

He lived a long, happy and fulfilling life camping, hiking, car trips, boating, playing with his dog brothers (especially Riley and Murphy) and friends and so many quiet times with Jane and me; while gallantly working as a registered therapy dog in hospice and our hospital for 12+ of his 14.5 years.

In true Sammy Dog fashion, he obtained perfect scores on his PetPartners evaluation one month and one day before his passing.

Though we miss him so dearly, he is now running and jumping with long lost brothers, sisters, playmates, friends and family – a well deserved and comforting destination for such a special fellow.

    • Sashy

These two dogs, Sashy and Grayton, were rescued by loving families who cherished them for many years. In honor of their memories, their neighbors have made a donation to us to help other dogs find their forever families. Thank you so much for making a difference!
