Dog-Harmony announces Hops for Hounds

Dog-Harmony is excited to announce the newest dog walk and fun run in South Walton. Hops for Hounds, taking place February 17 at Grayton Beer Company, features a two-mile dog walk and one-mile kids’ fun run as well as an array of activities for the whole family, including the four-legged members. All proceeds from this event will go to Dog-Harmony to help keep tails wagging in the community. What could be better than taking a walk with your pup on a beautiful Saturday and then enjoying a fun packed after party at Grayton Beer Company for a good cause?

Hops for Hounds will start at 10 a.m. at Grayton Beer Company, make a pit stop at Idyll Hounds Brewing Company and circle back for the after party with food, live music and draft beer. The cost is $30.00 for one human and one hound to participate in the Dog Walk and $20.00 per entry for the kids’ fun run. Each registered person will receive a t-shirt, wag bag and those over 21 will get a draft beer in Grayton Beer Company’s Tap Room. Back Beach BBQ and Deep Dish Rescue will be onsite serving lunch and plan to donate a portion of proceeds to Dog-Harmony.

Dog-Harmony’s main goal is to build healthy relationships between humans and dogs to improve the lives of both and reduce the number of dogs placed in shelters. This event will aid in the funding of the local nonprofit’s many community programs, including humane education, spay/neuter services, microchipping clinics and, of course, adoption services.
