2018: Focused on Education

March 17, 2019by Nancy Bown

Dog-Harmony’s 2018 was a big year for education and growth. We moved into our new building and expanded our ties within the community. Some of our highlights from 2018 were:

  • Moved into our new headquarters and education facility
  • Held our first Humane Education Symposium, inviting 20 area animal rescue workers to attend at no charge
  • Assisted over 50 people with low-cost spay and neuter services
  • Held our first Kids & Canines Camp at our new facility
  • Created an alliance with Pets Behave, LLC and Alaqua Animal Refuge to educate the public about the dangers of shock collars
  • Trained and adopted out 30 dogs with a 100% placement success rate

We hope to continue our growth within the community and have another extraordinary year in 2019. As always we thank our community partners and volunteers for helping us reach our goals.
