Capital Campaign

Dog-Harmony Inc. is about to break ground on its new building on Bay Grove Avenue near the U.S. Highway 331 bridge in Freeport. A grand opening is expected by April.

The organization’s new home will be a center for dogs waiting for THEIR new home, plus provide dog training, humane education and links to low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and microchipping.

The 5,600-square-foot space will include:

*Classrooms for humane education, such as positive dog training versus using prong/choke collars, and teaching children how to be safe around dogs.

*Retail to pay for operating expenses, such as high-end donated furniture and décor; clothing with the artsy Dog-Harmony logo; plus leashes, collars, natural flea prevention spray and other canine accessories.

*Two stainless-steel tubs for beach visitors to wash sand off their dogs.

*An area for doggie socials and parties.

Please help us help man’s/woman’s best friend.

Dog-Harmony is in the midst of a capital campaign, called “A New Leash on Life II,” to help pay for final opening expenses.

Our wish list includes:

*Money donations: One-time or recurring monthly gifts.

*Building materials: Roll-up windows and doors, plus plumbing, air conditioning and kitchen equipment.

*Plumbers and air conditioning technicians to install the systems.
