Therapy Dog Team Management
Effectively managing and coordinating therapy dog teams to work with hospitals and at-risk youth involves a blend of strong organizational structures, clear communication, robust training, and strategic partnerships.
In order to ensure the success of our therapy dog programs, Dog- Harmony has developed
a program to manage the therapy dog teams in local hospitals and civic organizations.
We are the liaison between a facility and the dog therapy teams , which streamlines the therapy process. Dog Harmony evaluates each of the therapy teams to determine how they can best give back to their community. We have developed successful programs in three area hospitals and have had continued success working with area nonprofits and with at risk youth. Dog harmony offers ongoing training and support to these teams which increases the volunteer retention. We handle the scheduling and logistics, safety and risk management and develop marketing targeted for community engagement.
