Bark for Books is back for the spring semester! J Bark for Books is back for the spring semester! Join Dog-Harmony and the Walton County Coastal Library for Bark for Books—a tail-waggingly fun way for kids to build confidence by reading aloud to a friendly therapy dog! Held every Wednesday from 3:30–4:30 PM, January 14 through May 20, this unique literacy program gives children the chance to practice their reading skills in a calm, pressure-free environment—paired with one of our trained therapy dogs. Reading to a nonjudgmental, furry friend helps children improve fluency, build self-esteem, and develop a lifelong love of reading. Dog-Harmony Announces 2026 Therapy Dog Classes & T Dog-Harmony Announces 2026 Therapy Dog Classes & Testing Dates 🐾 Dog-Harmony’s four-week Therapy Dog Classes & Testing program prepares dog-and-handler teams for official therapy dog evaluation through Intermountain Therapy Animals (ITA). This hands-on program covers key skills, safe handling, therapy-dog etiquette, and expectations for working in hospitals, schools, libraries, and community settings. The $195 class fee includes ITA’s Therapy Team Training Manual for Affiliated Organizations.
