Classes & Clinics

Group Training Classes

Dog-Harmony offers a variety of classes and clinics. Most classes and clinics are offered monthly based on the needs of the public. If you do not see a class fit for your pup or you are unsure where to start, contact us at hello@dog-harmony,org and we will assist you in finding the right class. Group Training Classes are $145 for 4 weeks. Classes and clinics are limited to 6 dog and handler teams. All dogs must be friendly with other dogs and have up to date vaccinations. Please be sure to fill out the correct sign up form when selecting a class.

There will be no refunds and no makeups with these classes and clinics. All dogs must be dog friendly.

  • Puppy Kindergarten | Tuesdays | February 8th – March 1st | 9:00-10:00 am | Instructor: Millie Becker
    • For puppies 12-20 weeks old
    • This class focuses on providing valuable socialization with other puppies and new people while introducing basic obedience skills. We’ll also cover how to address common puppy problems including nipping, potty training, chewing, and crate training.
    • Prerequisites: Puppies must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations.

  • Basic Obedience | Mondays | February 7th – February 28th | 9:00-10:00 am | Instructor: Millie Becker
  • Basic Obedience | Saturdays | February 12th – March 5th | 10:00-11:00 am | Instructor: Millie Becker
    • A 4-week class covering basic skills sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking.
    • Prerequisites: Dog must be friendly with other dogs and people and up to date on vaccinations.

Sign Up for Basic Obedience

  • Intermediate Obdience | Mondays | February 7th – 28th | 10:30-11:30 am | Instructor: Millie Becker
    • A continuation of skills covered in Basic 1 with a focus on working around distractions and preparing for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.
    • Prerequisites: Basic Obedience or instructor permission. Dog must be friendly with other dogs and people and up to date on vaccinations.

  • Awesome Adolescents | Thursdays | September 30th – October 21st | 9:30-10:30 am | Instructor: Hannah Burke
  • Awesome Adolescents | Wednesdays | November 10th – December 8th (no class on November 24th) | 10:45-11:45 am | Instructor: Hannah Burke
    • For adolescent dogs 6-12 months old, this class focuses on surviving the turbulent time of canine adolescence. Class focuses on continued socialization and troubleshooting behavior problems including counter surfing, leash pulling, coming when called and teaching polite greetings.
  • Clicks and Tricks | Mondays | January 4th – 25th | 10:30-11:30 am | Instructor: Millie Becker
    • Trick training is a fun and engaging way to teach your dog new skills and build confidence.
    • Prerequisites: Basic Obedience 2, Intermediate Basic or instructor permission. Dog must be friendly with other dogs and people and up to date on vaccinations.

  • Therapy Dog | Thursdays | November 4th – December 2nd (no class on November 25th) | 10:00-11:00 am | Instructor: Debbie Cole
    • Learn skills needed to become a therapy team with Intermountain Therapy Animals.
    • Prerequisites: All dogs must be approved by the instructor. Dog must be friendly with other dogs and people and up to date on vaccinations.
  • Hound About Town | Thursdays | February 3rd – 24th | 10:00-11:00 am | Instructors: Debbie Cole & Nancy Bown
    • This is a good class for those interested in becoming a therapy team.
    • The first class meets at Dog-Harmony headquarters with additional classes meeting at various locations throughout town. Classes are designed for dogs to learn obedience in distracting environments.
    • Prerequisites: All dogs must be approved by the instructor. Dog must be friendly with other dogs and people and up to date on vaccinations.

  • Holiday Manners Clinic | Tuesday | $30 | December 7th | 10:45-11:45 am | Instructor: Millie Becker
    • The Holiday Manners Clinic is a single session clinic designed to refresh canine manners before the holiday season.
  • Loose Leash Walking Clinic | $40 | Saturday | February 5th | 10:00-11:00 am | Instructor: Millie Becker
  • Loose Leash Walking Clinic | $40 | Tuesday | February 15th | 10:30-11:30 am  | Instructor: Millie Becker
    • The Loose Leash Walking Clinic is a single session clinic designed for dogs who pull on their leash while walking.

Our Instructors:

Nancy Bown

Nancy Bown is a graduate of the Animal Behavior College in Santa Clarita, California, and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA). She is a fear-free trainer and an Intermountain Therapy Animals evaluator. Nancy is the founder of Dog-Harmony who focuses on humane education and training.

Debbie Cole

Debbi is a licensed evaluator, instructor and volunteer for Intermountain Therapy Animals.

Millie Becker

Millie is dedicated to helping you achieve a better relationship with your dog through science based methods focusing on rewarding the behaviors we want, and replacing those unwanted behaviors with new habits.

With 3 years experience working professionally as a dog trainer, she is committed to staying up to date through continued education on the best way to communicate with our canine companions, and how to help them learn new skills in the most effective way possible.

It is her goal to set you and your dog up for success to live a happy and fulfilled life together for years to come.
