Is your dog a trendsetter? Does their charisma turn heads wherever they go? If so, get ready to showcase their unique style in Dog-Harmony’s Bark In Style photo contest. From July 1 to August 1, dog owners are invited to submit their favorite photos of their furry companions for a chance to win fabulous prizes and support a great cause.
“We’ve hosted similar competitions in the past, like our calendar contest,” said Dog-Harmony founder, Nancy Bown. “But we wanted to mix things up this year with more participants and enticing prizes.”
Entrants in the contest will be competing for ten exclusive slots for a photo shoot with professional pet photographer, Kay, from Wooftografie. Each winner will receive a stunning metal plaque featuring the best photo from their session, capturing their dog’s personality and style in a timeless keepsake.
In addition to the ten grand prizes, weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the contest period to the entry with the most votes by 9 p.m. every Saturday.
Entry is simple. Each competing dog owner will submit a high-resolution photo of a beloved pet and pay a 10-dollar entry donation. Once entered, competitors rally friends and family to vote for their pet's photo through donations. Each five-dollar contribution adds one vote to the competitor’s tally.
All donations collected during the contest will benefit community education and therapy dog programs by Dog-Harmony, helping to make a positive impact in the local community.
“Our goal is to raise 35,000 dollars with this contest,” said Bown. “This money is critical for the continuation and potential expansion of our community programs, like our therapy dog visits and children’s education workshops.”
The culmination of the Bark In Style photo contest will be celebrated at the Photo Reveal Party, where the winning portraits of the Top Dogs, Stylish Canines, and Darling Divas will be unveiled. This festive event will feature light hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and a silent auction, promising an evening of admiration and community spirit.
